Greetings,

“…Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields, that they are white for harvest” (John 4:35).  Not only are the fields white…they’re yellow, red, black, and every hue of skin color in between!  God’s harvest field is truly ripe, and He’s commanded us to “make disciples of all the nations” (Mt. 28:19-20).  You may not personally go to every nation, but every year, multitudes from the nations come to United States to study in our colleges and universities.  Each year, well over 750,000 International university students come here from all over the world to earn a degree.  Many of these students come from countries where Christian missionaries are not allowed.

Have you ever wondered how to effectively reach the nations that are right in your community or in a nearby community where there’s a college campus?  What an awesome opportunity we have to befriend International university students that are living in our midst!   What an even greater privilege to believe God to work through us to open the door for an unsaved International student to get to hear the gospel for possibly the first time in his or her life!

Where do you begin?  How do you make contact with and befriend people from cultures different than your own?  What is the best way to deal with unique cultural backgrounds and  build bridges of effective communication?  How do you help a homesick International feel welcomed while they’re so far away from home?  How can relationships be developed that present opportunities for you to share God’s great news with someone who’s never heard?

This “Discover the Nations” training will be held Thursday, March 8th – Saturday, March 10th, at Chi Alpha and Calvary Campus Church in Carbondale, IL.  Registration for this seminar is only $45 per individual or $60 per couple and is open to the first 70 people who register.  The registration fee includes meals, limited homestays, and encounters and training sessions with seasoned campus pastors, staff, and International students.  You will also be given a variety of useful literature and information to take home from the seminar.

The time you give to equip yourself to reach the nations will be well invested.  Only God knows the impact your commitment to reaching the Internationals in our land could have on world events and especially on changing the destiny of a person’s life for eternity.  We hope to see you in March as you come “Discover the Nations” that God has sovereignly brought right to your doorstep!

Sincerely,
